On January 8, 2025, to celebrate the Day of Enlightenment of Shakyamuni Buddha and the Laba Festival, the UK Guan Yin Citta Buddhist Charity Foundation hosted a themed event within the temple, sharing blessed Laba porridge with Buddhist devotees and community members from different cultural backgrounds. The event attracted enthusiastic participation from many devotees, creating a warm and peaceful atmosphere.

The purpose of the event was to promote Buddhist culture and help more people understand the significance of the Day of Enlightenment of Shakyamuni Buddha, while also passing on the traditional customs of the Laba Festival, which is filled with compassion and gratitude. Not only Chinese attendees, but many friends from other ethnicities and cultures also seized the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Buddhist wisdom and collectively experience the compassionate power of the Dharma.
